Our Silver products are .925 Sterling Silver, which means that they contain 92.5% of pure silver by weight and 7.5% of other jeweler metals by weight. This metal is very durable and lustrous. Tarnishing from oxidization is expected over time.  We recommend using the provided polishing cloth to maintain luster and shine.  Regular storing in air-tight compartments is great for preventing oxidation.  However, regular wear of silver jewelry is ideal to prevent oxidation since skin and clothing contact can actually help polish the silver.

Gold Filled jewelry requires multiple layers of solid gold (up to 25 times more compared to gold plated jewelry) that are pressure-bonded to a core of high-quality jeweler’s brass using extreme heat. Industry standards dictate that your piece must be 5% solid gold by weight. The result is a thick layer of 14K genuine gold and a durable, long-lasting product. Gold Filled jewelry is a great alternative to solid gold due to its quality, longevity and affordability.  It is also hypoallergenic and suitable for those with metal sensitivities.  Your Gold Filled jewelry can tarnish naturally over time.  This can be caused by excessive moisture, exposure to direct sunlight, scented body products or even through perspiration.  This will vary depending on an individual's lifestyle and body chemistry.  Not to worry, your jewelry can be easily cleaned with a polish cloth from our packaging.  We recommend using the cloth only when your piece is dull or tarnished.  Use light pressure against the metal to remove any tarnish and avoid pressing hard, as this could rub off some of the gold from your piece over time.  For a more thorough clean, gently washing in lukewarm water with mild soap is also very effective.

Most gemstones in our collection such as Labradorite, Moonstone, Larimar and Freshwater Pearls can be easily cleaned with a clean, dry, non-abrasive soft cloth to gently wipe away any residue.  It is very important to note that minimal pressure must be used when cleaning such gemstones, as they may crack and chip under strong force.  For a more thorough clean, wash gently with mild soap and lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft cloth.

Avoid Turquoise stones from getting wet.  Since our Turquoise is pure and untreated, only polished, it requires more attention.  This is naturally a porous stone and it may change its tone if exposed to too much moisture.  If your turquoise jewelry accidentally gets wet, gently dry its surface using a microfiber or cotton cloth as soon as possible and allow it to air dry naturally for 24 hours. This method will help any absorbed moisture leave the stone and restore its natural colour tones to its previous state without any noticeable damage.
